This collection consists of two distinct components. The first part of the collection is composed of the papers of the Allison family, consisting mainly of the papers of Ada F. and Harry W. Allison. These papers include Ada's correspondence, her accounting records, and some of her photographs. Also included are Harry's cash book, his diary, his memorandum book, and autograph album. An interesting item in these papers is a journal of accounts of A.S. Allison, a New York City merchant, that dates from 1835.
